Why Dare to Care
The Dare to Care program is effective and cost efficient with a focus that
goes beyond the perpetrators and the victim to include peers, school staff,
parents, and the broader community.
This comprehensive approach creates a common language which allows for
more consistent intervention and follow–through when dealing with challenging issues.
By participating in the program, students receive clear messages about
the potential harm and consequences of substance abuse and acts of violence.
Through this proactive approach, many incidents are reduced before they become a real issue.
