Holly A. McCord Lonseth

Director


Holly was born and raised in San Diego, California, where she was drawn to the law at an early age with a goal to advocate for children. Holly attended the University of Arizona in Tucson where she graduated cum laude (with honors) with a degree in political science and a minor in child development. She went on to attend the University of San Diego School of Law, which she chose for its world renowned child advocacy program called the Child Advocacy Institute (“CAI”). During her time in law school, Holly was the Vice President of a student run organization called Advocates for Children and Education and she worked closely with the founders of CAI. Holly was also a member of the Education Liaison Program that helped youth in the juvenile criminal system with their educational needs. Holly also interned at Highbanks Society in Calgary, Alberta, a local non-profit that supports teen mothers in 2010. Upon completing law school in 2014, she went on to take and successfully pass the California Bar. Holly moved to Calgary shortly thereafter and was called to the Alberta Bar in 2016. Holly volunteered with the Artemis Chartable Foundation from 2015-2017. Holly co-founded VML Family Law LLP in 2023, where she practices family law as a lawyer, mediator / arbitration, and parenting coordinator.

Holly is a child advocate and is pleased to be apart of an organization that furthers the interests of children.
