Calgary, Alberta - April 22, 2026 - Dare to Care is proud to announce its selection as an official participating charity in the 2026 Rogers Birdies for Kids presented by AltaLink program. This renewed partnership provides a unique opportunity for the community to support Dare to Care’s mission, with every donation receiving a significant boost through the program’s matching fund.
Rogers Birdies for Kids (BFK) is a non-profit program under the Calgary Shaw Charity Classic Foundation, held in conjunction with the Rogers Charity Classic—a PGA TOUR Champions event. The program is designed to help Alberta-based charities raise funds, engage the community, and provide a matching pool that increases the value of every dollar donated.
"We are honored to once again be part of the Rogers Birdies for Kids campaign this year" said Lisa Dixon-Wells, Founder at Dare to Care. “This partnership isn’t just support—it’s momentum. Through Rogers Birdies for Kids, every gift goes further, expanding our reach and bringing life-changing bully prevention programs to schools and sport communities across the country.”
How the Program Works:
Up to 50% Matching: All donations made to Dare to Care through the Birdies for Kids portal are eligible to be matched by up to 50%.
100% Impact: Because the Rogers Charity Classic covers all administrative costs, 100% of every donation—plus the matching funds—goes directly to Dare to Care.
Donation Window: Contributions are being accepted now through August 31, 2026 .
Donors can contribute directly to Dare to Care’s campaign by visiting the Rogers Charity Classic website here.
Funds raised through this year's campaign will support the ongoing development and delivery of our award winning programming for schools and sport organizations, making it more accessible for ALL communities.
About Dare to Care: Dare to Care was founded in 1999 to address the pervasive and crippling impact that bullying continues to have on children, youth and adults to this day. In 2018 this program expanded to the sports sector where it has made a meaningful, immediate and lasting impact. Today Dare to Care is the most practical and comprehensive bully prevention program in Canada. This proven and award-winning program has worked with more than one million participants across Canada and continues to create communities where bullying behaviour is unacceptable and kindness becomes the dominant force.
