It is with a mix of gratitude and sadness that we announce the retirement of our esteemed Founder and Executive Director, Lisa Dixon-Wells, effective July 1, 2025. After 25 years of dedicated service and leadership, Lisa has decided to step down from her principal role and begin a new phase in her working life.

We are most fortunate that she will remain close in support of the upcoming leadership transition, while she balances a new advisory role with Dare to Care and a well-deserved retirement (slowing down of sorts - if that's even possible for her!). Since founding Dare to Care in 1999, Lisa has been the driving force behind our mission to empower communities with the skills and courage to prevent bullying so everyone can prosper in life, learning, and play. Under her visionary leadership, the organization has grown from a small initiative to a thriving entity that has made a significant impact in both the education and sport sectors. Lisa's commitment, passion, and unwavering dedication have been the cornerstone of our success. She has not only shaped the organization but also inspired all of us with her values and work ethic.
While we will deeply miss Lisa's daily presence, we are excited to carry forward her legacy. The Board of Directors is actively working on a transition plan to ensure a smooth handover of responsibilities and will soon begin the search for a new Executive Director.
We invite you to join us in celebrating Lisa's remarkable career and contributions to Dare to Care. We will be sharing details about an upcoming celebration event shortly. Please join us in expressing our heartfelt gratitude to Lisa for her years of extraordinary leadership. We wish her all the best in this new chapter of life.
Thank you Lisa Dixon-Wells!
It’s very interesting, but do you know about SplineCloud’s online plot digitizer? It makes extracting data from images super easy! Unlike some other tools, it lets you define a coordinate system, select data points, and even fit curves right in the browser. No installation needed, and you can access your data through an API. Definitely worth checking out!
